Storefront Glass Installation & Repair in San Diego, CA
From Gaslamp storefronts to North County business parks, we install and repair commercial glass, aluminum storefronts and entrance doors for San Diego businesses, and we secure broken openings fast.
What happens when you call
Talk to a glazier
Tell us what broke or what you need built. We ask about glass type, opening size, frame condition and whether the space is secure.
Make it safe, then make it right
Broken openings are boarded or temporarily glazed first. Then the opening is measured and the permanent glass is ordered to fit.
Written scope, clean records
You get a line-item estimate and photos of the damage and the finished work for your landlord or insurance carrier.
Storefront glass for a coastal city
San Diego has an easy climate for people and a demanding one for storefronts. Salt air near the coast attacks aluminum finishes, door hardware and fasteners, and marine moisture gets into failing gaskets and insulated glass seals. A storefront that would last decades inland can show pitting, sticking hardware and foggy units much sooner within a few miles of the water.
We work on the full range of San Diego commercial glass: street-level retail and restaurants in the Gaslamp, Little Italy and North Park, office lobbies in Mission Valley and Kearny Mesa, life science and tech buildings in Sorrento Valley, and shopping centers from Chula Vista to Oceanside.
Title 24 and new storefronts
California’s Title 24 energy standards apply when a storefront is replaced or a commercial space is altered. In practice that means insulated glass with the right U-factor and solar heat gain values in a thermally broken frame, and documentation that the glazing meets the numbers on the energy compliance forms.
We price new storefronts with compliant glass from the start, so there is no surprise at plan check, and we provide the product data the architect or energy consultant needs. For a like-for-like repair of a single broken lite, we match the existing glass type and tell you if the old system is due for a bigger change.
Break-ins and after-hours glass emergencies
Smash-and-grab break-ins hit retail and restaurant storefronts across the county. The priority is getting the opening secure the same night with board-up or temporary glazing, cleaning up the broken glass so the space can reopen, and documenting the damage with photos for the police report and insurance claim.
For businesses that have been hit more than once, we can replace standard tempered glass with laminated or security glass, add security film, or upgrade the door hardware, so the next attempt takes longer and does less damage.
Doors, hardware and ADA entrances
Coastal moisture and heavy foot traffic wear out closers, pivots and locks. We repair and replace storefront door hardware, adjust doors that drag or fail to latch, and upgrade entrances to meet accessibility requirements: the right opening force, closing speed, thresholds and hardware heights. California’s accessibility rules are stricter than the federal baseline in places, and we build to the stricter one.

San Diego storefront glass questions
What owners, property managers and tenants in San Diego ask us most.
Why do storefronts near the coast wear out faster?
Salt air corrodes aluminum finishes, fasteners and hardware, and marine moisture gets into failing gaskets and insulated glass seals. Regular hardware maintenance and resealing extend the life of a coastal storefront considerably.
Does a new storefront have to meet Title 24?
Yes. When a storefront is replaced or a commercial space is altered, the new glazing must meet California’s Title 24 energy requirements. We specify compliant low-E insulated glass from the start.
Can you secure my storefront after a break-in tonight?
Yes. We board up or temporarily glaze the opening the same day, clean up the broken glass and photograph the damage for your insurance claim, then install the permanent glass.
What glass stops smash-and-grab break-ins?
Laminated glass holds together when it breaks, so it takes far longer to get through than tempered glass. Security film and better door hardware help too. The right choice depends on the storefront and the budget.
Do you replace foggy glass without replacing the whole storefront?
Yes. A foggy insulated unit has a failed seal. In most systems we can replace just the unit and keep the frame.
