Break-In & Vandalism Repair
A break-in leaves broken glass, damaged doors and frames, and a business that needs to reopen fast. We secure the storefront the same day, repair the damage and help make the next attempt harder.
What happens when you call
Call any time
Tell us what broke, how big the opening is and whether the space is secure. A crew is dispatched to make it safe.
Secure the opening
Broken glass is removed and the opening is boarded up or temporarily glazed so the business is protected tonight.
Measure and replace
The opening is measured, permanent glass is ordered to size, and we come back to install it. Photos are provided for insurance.
After a break-in
Once police have finished, we secure the opening with board-up or temporary glazing, clean up the glass, and check the damage beyond the obvious: pried door frames, bent stiles, broken locks and strikes, damaged closers and scratched or etched glass. Everything is photographed and listed for the insurance claim.
Repairing the damage
- Replacement glass in storefronts, doors and sidelites
- Door repair or replacement when stiles are bent or corners cracked
- New locks, cylinders, strikes and exit devices
- Frame repair where doors were pried
- Scratched or etched glass replacement and graffiti film
Making the next attempt harder
Standard tempered glass shatters completely when struck, which is why smash-and-grab break-ins are so fast. Laminated glass holds together when it breaks and can take many blows to get through. Security film applied to existing glass adds resistance at lower cost. Better locks, latch guards and concealed rod exit devices protect the door. For high-risk locations, security glazing and roll-down gates add more protection.
We assess the storefront and recommend upgrades that fit the risk and the budget.
Graffiti and etching
Vandals often scratch or acid-etch storefront glass. Badly etched glass usually has to be replaced. Sacrificial anti-graffiti film protects the glass going forward and can be replaced cheaply when it gets marked.

Break-In & Vandalism Repair questions
Do not see your question? Call and talk to a glazing specialist.
Can you come right after police finish?
Yes. Emergency calls are answered around the clock.
What glass stops smash-and-grab break-ins?
Laminated glass holds together when struck and is much harder to get through than tempered glass. Security film helps on existing glass.
Can you fix a door that was pried open?
Yes. We repair or replace damaged frames, doors, locks and strikes.
Can scratched or etched glass be repaired?
Light scratches sometimes can; deep etching usually needs replacement. Anti-graffiti film prevents it.
