Panic Bars, Locks & Door Hardware
The right hardware lets people out safely, keeps intruders out and holds up to daily use. We install and repair panic bars, locks, cylinders, pulls and push bars on storefront doors.
Exit devices and panic bars
Many commercial occupancies require panic hardware on exit doors, so the door opens with a push in an emergency without a key or special knowledge. On storefront doors this is usually a rim device or a concealed vertical rod device, which keeps the door looking clean. We install and repair exit devices and set them up with the right trim and dogging for how the door is used during business hours.
Locks and cylinders
- Hookbolt deadlocks for narrow stile aluminum doors
- Bottom rail and patch locks for frameless glass doors
- Mortise cylinders, rekeying and key control
- Thumbturns where the code allows them
- Flush bolts for the inactive leaf of a pair of doors
Security upgrades
After a break-in, the weak point is often the hardware rather than the glass. Pry-resistant latch guards, longer throw locks, better strikes, reinforced door frames and concealed rod exit devices make forced entry harder. We look at the entrance as a whole and recommend upgrades that fit the door and the code.
Code requirements
Egress, accessibility and fire codes limit what hardware can be used on an exit door: single-motion operation, hardware heights, operating force and whether a key can be required. We choose hardware that keeps the door secure without blocking the way out.
