Conference Room Glass
Conference rooms are where glass does the most for an office, and where privacy and sound matter most. We install glass walls and doors for conference and meeting rooms with the acoustic and privacy options to match.
Designing a glass conference room
A glass conference room should show off the space and let people see whether the room is in use, without letting conversations carry or screens be read from the hallway. That means choosing the right glass, sealing the joints, and adding privacy where it is needed.
Options that matter
- Acoustic laminated glass with a sound-dampening interlayer
- Double-glazed walls for executive and boardroom spaces
- Sealed doors with drop seals and perimeter gaskets
- Sliding doors where swing clearance is limited
- Privacy film in bands or gradients, or switchable glass that frosts at the touch of a switch
- Writable glass walls used as whiteboards
Coordination with AV and HVAC
Conference rooms often have displays, cameras and sound systems, and the glass walls need to work with them: blocking for screens, cable routes and diffuser locations. Sound can travel over a partition that stops at the ceiling, so we coordinate with the contractor on whether walls go to the deck.
Installation
We field measure after framing, fabricate glass and doors to size, and install with the finish hardware, then adjust doors and seals for smooth operation.

Conference Room Glass questions
Do not see your question? Call and talk to a glazing specialist.
Can a glass conference room be soundproof?
Not completely, but acoustic laminated or double glazing with sealed doors and full-height walls gets close for most offices.
What is switchable privacy glass?
Glass that changes from clear to frosted when power is turned off or on, giving instant privacy.
Can I write on a glass conference room wall?
Yes. Writable glass works as a whiteboard.
Do sliding glass doors seal well?
They seal less tightly than swing doors with drop seals, but good systems include brush or gasket seals.
